We've Been Busy

We have been busy this year so far! It's already the middle of March! Where did the time go!

Kendall took the 2 smaller ones to Cornwall Park. They had a blast!

After that really nice day at the park we had to deal with this AGAIN:

A couple of weeks ago the boys had a Taekwondo ceremony. T received his senior brown belt and C received his 2nd level for his black belt. We are really proud of our boys!

Then it was Kendall's birthday. He has wanted one of these for the longest time. We finally found a good deal and got one.

It's a 37" Flat screen HD Vizio. I actually have to admit - It is really nice!

Christmas Day!

We had a great Christmas morning. My sister stayed with us the night before and you should have seen us in the morning. I think that we were more excited than the kids - as we were the first ones up.

Before we will let the kids open up presents we always take a picture of them in front of the tree. Thinking that we will use this picture for our Christmas cards the following year, but they change so much!

T got exactly what he asked Santa for - a new bike. He wanted to go out and ride it that day, but just a little problem - 2 feet of snow in our street! His old bike was so small.

E got from her "TT" a Tinkerbell doll. Every since the first commercial for the Tinkerbell movies she has been chanting "twinkerbell, twinkerbell" over and over again. We thought this would be perfect.

C got his very own camping backpack. He was so excited. He can't wait to go on another campout with his scout troop. I don't think he even cares what the weather it like!

The last thing that Santa brought the family was a Wii. We have all had so much fun playing it together as a family.
The one bummer thing about Christmas this year was that my mom and step dad couldn't make it out because of the snow. But we were still able to celebrate Christmas with them, just the following weekend. We hope that everyone had as fabulous a Christmas as we had.

Playing in the Snow!

The kids had a BLAST playing in the snow over their winter break. Here are a few pictures.

The boys both got their own snowboards from their "TT" (my sister - Tonya) for Christmas. They love to snowboard down our little hill on her snowboard so what better gift than to give then their own. They were so excited.

Here is the little one with her "TT" on Tonya's snowboard. She didn't quite have as much fun. At the bottom of the hill she fell off and bonked her head.

Here she is. She had fun just wandering around in the snow and being pulled in the sled by any one of us.

Here are the boys. They wanted to go out and play in the snow the day school got out early. I told them that it was cold. They said they wanted to go out. They weren't out there very long.

We had a Great Christmas Eve

We had Christmas Eve at my Grandpa Carl's house like we always do. We had a delicious roast dinner, opened a few gifts and visited as a family

Here we all are around the Christmas tree. Very rarely do we get a family picture of all of us. I am usually the one taking all the pictures. I finally figured out how to use the self timer on my camera.

Here are the kids with their great grandpa. They love him so much and love spending time with him.

We try to get at least one picture of the three of them looking nice.

Our Annual Trip to SLC

On Monday we got back from our annual trip to Salt Lake City with my dad. We had a great time and we even got some snow - the day we left!

On Friday C wanted to go up to see the capital building. We went inside and ended up going on a tour. The building has been closed for the last 4-5 years for a 250 million renovation. It is a gorgeous building! We went to the visitor centers on Temple Square and were the only ones in them - due to the funeral earlier in the day. The kids had a blast watching all of the commercials and then going into the North visitors center and seeing the Savior. What a wonderful spiritual feeling!

We were also able to go into the Church's History Museum where the kids played upstairs for over an hour, went up onto the roof of the conference center and also went into the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. On Saturday we were able to meet up with one of the missionaries that served up here in our area almost 11 years ago. We had a nice visit.

On Sunday we all attended The Spoken Word in the confernce center. It was a wonderful show. That night we were able to take a horse drawn carriage ride around Temple Square and look at all the lights. All the kids loved the ride, especially E. Last year we were going to go on a ride
but she got sick.

Finally the day we left it started to snow so we took the kids up to This Is The Place monument and let them play in the snow for a few minutes. It wasn't a long time but they had fun.

We all look forward to going again next year
